Worship Services & Activities

The Salvation Army did not begin with social service programs to help the needy. It began rather with a desire to reach the lost and hurting souls of our community.

The Salvation Army Norman Corps is a vibrant church family with a heart of worship. We would love for you to join us at one of our weekly services or activities.

Sunday:

  • 9 a.m. – Breakfast
  • 9:45 a.m. – Sunday School
  • 11 a.m. – Holiness Meeting
  • 11:30 a.m. – Junior Soldiers

Monday:

  • Youth Activities – 3 to 6 p.m. – All the children enjoy an afternoon snack and help with their homework.
    • Our Moonbeams, children ages 4-5, come enjoy activities perfect for them.
    • Our Sunbeams, girls in grades 1 – 5, come and enjoy activities designed just for them. The girls can complete projects to earn badges, create arts & crafts, participate in lifestyle classes, expand their musical talents and attend camp during the summer.
    • Our Adventure Kids, boys in grades 1 – 8, come participate in activities built around them. The boys can complete service projects to earn badges, develop hobbies, explore musical interests, participate in life education classes and attend camp during the summer.
    • Our Girl Guards, girls in grades 6-12, enjoy activities designed just for them. The girls complete service projects to earn badges, create arts & crafts, participate in lifestyle classes, explore musical interests and attend camp during the summer.

Tuesday:

  • Dedicated Seniors – 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Youth Activities – 3 to 6 p.m.
    • See above for various age groups

Wednesday:

  • Youth Activities – 3 to 6 p.m.
    • Moonbeams, Sunbeams, Adventure Kids & Girl Guards
    • All the children participate in the choir on Wednesdays. Last year, our choir was the Arkansas-Oklahoma Division Champions and went to Atlanta, GA to compete in the Territorial Choir Competition.

Thursday:

  • Bible Study – 6:30 p.m.
  • Home League & Men’s Club – 7 p.m.
    • Home League is our women’s fellowship group for ladies ages 16 and up. Our ladies work on different projects such as collecting school supplies for the children, enjoy fellowship and host lifestyle and education classes.
    • Men’s Club is our group just for men ages 16 and up. The men gather together to worship, fellowship and complete projects around the church.
