Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to pick up toy and food donations made to the Christmas Assistance Program and deliver to Christmas Center.

Responsibilities and tasks other than those stated in this job description.
Pickup and Delivery (90%)
Responsible for picking up and delivering food drive baskets and supporting information.
Responsible for delivering and picking up Christmas kettles, supplies and bellringers to designated kettle locations.
Delivers Angel Tree cards to Angel Tree locations.
Picks up toys at designated locations.
Picks up Angel Tree and Corporate Adoption donations.
Issues donation receipts upon request.
Other Responsibilities (10%)
Assists with packing and moving in and out of Christmas Center site.
Available for “off-hour” special event support.
Locks vehicle doors when vehicle is not in use.
Parks vehicle in a safe and clearly marked parking space.
Performs other related work as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to drive up to a 24-foot box van.
Excellent knowledge of Oklahoma City, El Reno and surrounding area streets.
General vehicle maintenance such as pre-trip inspections.
Ability to read and follow written instructions.
Minimum Qualifications Required
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or G.E.D. AND two years experience operating an automotive vehicle, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Valid Oklahoma driver’s license with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to travel to various locations throughout the metro.
Ability to safely drive a vehicle in heavy traffic.
Ability to greet guests, such as volunteers or clients.
Ability to concentrate in a disruptive environment.
Ability to alternate between manual labor duties and contact with public.
Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects
Work is performed driving various vehicles in the field while making deliveries and pick-ups.
Work is also performed in a warehouse and office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort.
