Food, groceries, utility assistance, special seasonal needs (CLICK HERE on details for boxed fans), disaster relief coordination and residential homeless shelters – our Social Services office has it all.
Through case management, direct support, partnerships with other community agencies and through corporate and private partnerships, Social Services provides more than 36,000 grocery orders a year to families in need, provides over 2,000 cases of utility assistance and more than 29,000 nights of shelter.
Our task in this community is to help clients address their unique needs, and to help them move towards self-sufficiency and self determination. Our goals are not numbers, rather the client’s achievement.
Without assistance from The Salvation Army Social Service Programs, low-income families, the working poor, disabled individuals and senior citizens face the daunting choice of paying their home energy bills or affording other basic necessities such as medical care, prescription drugs, housing and food.
