The Salvation Army is scheduling appointments to take applications for

Christmas Family Assistance – Children Ages 0-14
Senior Assistance – Age 62 or Greater

for Oklahoma County Residents and residents of ZIP codes 73159, 73165 and 73170 of Cleveland County beginning Wednesday, August 13, 2014
Monday – Friday (until capacity is reached)

  • Monday – Wednesday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. & 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Thursday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. & 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

at 1001 N. Pennsylvania, Oklahoma City, OK 73107.

So that you may apply for assistance, Oklahoma County area residents must go in person to The Salvation Army Social Services Office to receive an appointment letter.

Important Change to Note:
Income eligibility guidelines will be used in determining the income eligibility of persons applying to participate in our Christmas Ministry Program.

Please remember, you may only apply for Christmas Assistance from ONE agency!
Duplicate applications will be voided. Please do not bring children with you to apply.

2013 Christmas Ministry Report

We are so thankful for all the families we were able to touch through our 2013 Christmas Assistance and Angel Tree programs. With the help of our generous Central Oklahoma community, 2,000 families received gifts and food through the Angel Tree program. Read on below for a complete list of statistics for this years programs.

Central Oklahoma Angel Tree Households
2,000 Total Households

  • 1,200 Oklahoma City families
  • 400 Cleveland Country families
  • 400 Seniors

Which equaled 5,500 Individual Angels received gifts and Christmas meals in Central Oklahoma.

Central Oklahoma Community Care Angels
We served 3,483 residents in 37 Institutions, including the VA Hospital with Christmas stockings.

Central Oklahoma Shelter Residents
These are the individuals who were staying in our shelters and received gifts on Christmas day.
