The Salvation Army Boy’s Clubs, originally located at 311 SW 5th St., Oklahoma City, opened in 1950 to provide children with recreation, education, spiritual & character development opportunities.
Today, The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club serves families and children ages 6-17 on the southeast side of Oklahoma City.
Our goal is for all of our members to be academically successful, lead healthy lives, and develop great character and citizenship by growing in faith.
We offer after-school and full-day programs, homework help, year round sports programs, classes in drama, dance, music, visual arts, digital arts, and photography, and a host of fun physical activities.
The Club provides snacks and dinner to every Club Kid member. Every member is also eligible for Salvation Army Corps programming, which includes scouting programs and Bible studies.
Members at the Club are protected from drug abuse and gang violence. Instead of roaming the streets after school, members laugh, sing, put on dramas, learn new games, play on the playground, and shoot basketballs.
They come to a place where everyone knows their name and cares about how their day at school went. The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs are irreplaceable in this community.
Membership at the Club is $20 per month per child during the school year for our after-school program. This program runs after school until 6:45 p.m., Monday through Friday during the months of August to May.
Our Summer Program membership is $100 per month per child for the months of June and July. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
School break programs are available following the Oklahoma City Public Schools calendar.
Membership forms and dues are accepted on a rolling basis, and all memberships must be renewed on August 1st of each year. Membership registration must be completed in person at 2808 S.E. 44th Street (corner of S.E. 44th and Bryant).
